Cavite implements 2nd tranche of minimum wage hike under Wage Order IV-A-22

CAVITE, Philippines — The Provincial Government of Cavite began implementing the second tranche of minimum wage adjustments across the province on Tuesday, April 1, under Wage Order No. IV-A-22.

Under the updated rates, workers in Bacoor, Dasmariñas, and Imus — classified as extended metropolitan areas — now receive a daily minimum wage of 600 pesos in the non-agriculture sector, 525 pesos for agricultural workers, and 508 pesos for retail and service establishments with no more than 10 employees.

The same non-agriculture rate of 600 pesos applies to component cities including Carmona, Cavite City, General Trias, Tagaytay, and Trece Martires, as well as to the first-class municipality of Rosario.

Other first-class municipalities — Alfonso, General Mariano Alvarez, Indang, Kawit, Naic, Silang, and Tanza — carry a non-agriculture rate of 550 pesos, while their agriculture and retail and service rates remain at 525 pesos and 508 pesos, respectively. Noveleta, a reclassified first-class municipality, follows the same schedule.

Workers in second- to fifth-class municipalities, including Amadeo, General Emilio Aguinaldo, Magallanes, Maragondon, Mendez, and Ternate, receive a non-agriculture rate of 525 pesos, with agriculture and retail and service rates set at 508 pesos each.

The Office of the Provincial Public Employment Service Manager urged employers and workers to familiarize themselves with the updated rates to ensure compliance.
