Jeepney barker shot dead in Cavite — police

Bacoor, Cavite — A jeepney barker was shot dead in broad daylight by an unidentified assailant in Barangay Zapote 2, Bacoor City, Cavite on Thursday afternoon, local police said.

The victim, identified only by the alias “Dave,” was walking through an alley when he was intercepted and repeatedly shot by the gunman, investigators said.

Initial findings indicate the suspect had been lying in wait for the victim. The assailant fled the scene immediately after the shooting.

Authorities have yet to determine the suspect’s identity and motive as investigation continues.
