Fire Destroys 200 Homes in Bacoor Compound

Bacoor, Cavite: A fire razed approximately 200 homes late Saturday night in a residential compound in Barangay Talaba 3, Bacoor City, local fire officials reported.

The blaze erupted at around 10:40 p.m. in Paraiso Compound, Zone 6, according to the Bacoor Fire Station.

First alarm was declared at 10:51 p.m. by Fire Officer 3 Cabacang. Strong winds fanned the flames, prompting a second alarm declaration just 10 minutes later, at 11:01 p.m.

Firefighters battled the blaze for over three hours before it was fully extinguished.

No casualties were immediately reported.

Investigators from the Bacoor Fire Protection unit said the cause of the fire remains under investigation, along with the total estimated damage.
