KAWIT, Cavite — Two suspected drug personalities were arrested in a recent buy-bust operation in Kawit, authorities said.
The Kawit Municipal Police Station, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-4A, conducted the operation at 4 p.m. in Barangay Pulvorista, resulting in the arrest of two men, known only by their aliases “Otoy” and “Nestor,” both residents of the area.
The suspects allegedly sold a small heat-sealed plastic sachet containing suspected methamphetamine, also known as “shabu,” to an undercover operative.
The men were informed of their constitutional rights and taken to the Kawit Municipal Police Station for documentation and further processing.
The operation was part of the police station’s intensified campaign against crime, according to PLTCOL Socrates S. Jaca, the station’s officer-in-charge.
The arrests serve as a warning to the public to refrain from engaging in illegal drug activities, Jaca said.
The police station will continue its efforts to prevent and eradicate crime in Kawit community.
