TANZA, Cavite: A 19-year-old woman was found dead with multiple stab wounds on her back along Trece Tanza Road in Barangay Sania, Tanza, Cavite, authorities said.
The victim, identified only by her alias “Christel,” was a resident of Barangay Daang Amaya 3 in the same town.
She was rushed to Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo Memorial Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
Police arrested a 32-year-old suspect, identified by his alias “Jules,” a resident of the same barangay, following a follow-up operation.
According to investigators, the Tanza Municipal Police Station received a call around 2 a.m. Tuesday reporting a woman found lying on the ground, bleeding. Responding personnel from the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) found the victim still alive and rushed her to the hospital.
The suspect was arrested and a knife allegedly used in the crime was recovered. Authorities are still investigating the motive behind the killing.
