House Raises Over P25M for Fire Victims in Cavite

The House of Representatives has raised over PHP25 million pesos in aid for more than 1,000 families affected by a recent fire in Bacoor, Cavite.

According to House Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez, the assistance will come from the Ayuda para sa Kapos ang Kita Program and the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS), both under the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

Romualdez’s office is coordinating with local governments and relevant agencies, including the National Housing Authority and DSWD, to ensure the aid reaches the victims of the fire that hit Barangay Longos in Zapote III, Bacoor, Cavite.

The House Speaker is also urging the private sector to participate in providing aid for the affected community’s recovery efforts.
