IMUS CITY, Cavite – A high-value drug suspect was arrested Friday during a joint operation by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and Philippine National Police (PNP) in Imus City, Cavite.
Rashid Cabili Macud, also known as Ali, 38, a tricycle driver from Manila, was apprehended in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Pasong Buaya II.
Authorities seized approximately 500 grams of suspected methamphetamine, locally known as shabu, with an estimated street value of PHP4 million, and marked money used in the sting.
The suspect, who is now in the custody of PDEA Regional Office IV-A in Santa Rosa City, Laguna, will face charges for violating Section 5, Article II of Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The operation was conducted by joint elements of the PDEA Regional Office IV-A Special Enforcement Team 1, PDEA Cavite Provincial Office, and PNP Cavite Police Provincial Office-Drug Enforcement Unit.
