KAWIT, CAVITE — A suspected drug personality was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Kawit, Cavite, on Wednesday night, authorities said.

The Kawit Municipal Police Station’s Drugs Enforcement Unit and Intel Operatives, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 4A, conducted the operation at around 10:30 p.m. in Barangay San Sebastian, Kawit.

The suspect, identified only by his alias “Bryan,” a resident of Barangay Alapan 2E, Imus City, Cavite, was arrested after selling a small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected “shabu” (methamphetamine) to an undercover operative.

The suspect was informed of his constitutional rights under the Miranda Doctrine and was taken to the Kawit Municipal Police Station for documentation and further investigation.

The operation was part of the police station’s intensified campaign against all forms of criminality, particularly illegal drugs. Authorities warned the public to refrain from engaging in illegal activities, saying they will continue to crack down on crime.

The arrest was made under the supervision of Police Lt. Col. Richard D. Corpuz, chief of police of the Kawit Municipal Police Station.
