Police authorities have arrested a drug suspect in a buy-bust operation in Kawit, Cavite, as part of an intensified campaign against criminality.

The Kawit Municipal Police Station’s Drugs Enforcement Unit and Intel Operatives, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA-4A), conducted the operation on Friday night in Barangay Toclong, Kawit, Cavite.

The suspect, known only by the alias “BL” and a resident of Barangay Real 1, Bacoor City, Cavite, was caught selling a small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected “shabu” (methamphetamine) at around 9:30 pm.

The suspect was informed of his constitutional rights under the Miranda Doctrine and was taken into custody for further processing.

According to PLTCOL Richard D. Corpuz, Chief of Police, the operation is part of the police station’s ongoing efforts to prevent and eradicate crimes in the community.

The police warned the public to refrain from engaging in illegal activities, saying they will continue to work tirelessly to ensure public safety and security.
