Tanza Residents Receive Rice Aid After Storm and Oil Spill

Thousands of residents in Tanza, Cavite have received rice aid from the local government, following the recent storm and oil spill that affected the area.

The relief effort, led by Vice Mayor SM Matro, targeted eight barangays in the town, including Julugan I to Julugan VIII. The distribution was carried out in partnership with the town’s councillors, the Sangguniang Bayan, and the local government.

Vice Mayor Matro, along with other officials, went door-to-door to personally deliver the rice to affected families. The initiative was also supported by Mayor Yuri Pacumio, Congressman Crispin Diego “Ping” Remulla, and the Matro Bros.

According to the latest census data from PhilAtlas, nearly 24,000 residents benefited from the aid. The relief effort is seen as a vital lifeline for those affected by the recent storm and oil spill, which have caused significant disruption to the community.

The local government’s swift response to the crisis has been welcomed by residents, who have been struggling to cope with the aftermath of the disaster.
