A 25-year-old man wanted for theft was arrested while riding a stolen motorcycle in Carmona City, Cavite province, local police reported on Friday.
The suspect, identified only by his alias “Kuntil”, was apprehended on July 7 while driving a motorcycle that was later confirmed to have been stolen from an employee of the Silang local government unit.
Carmona City PNP said the arrest was made while serving a warrant for a separate theft case against the suspect. Further investigation revealed that “Kuntil” is also facing carnapping charges in the nearby town of Silang.
The suspect, a resident of General Mariano Alvarez town in Cavite, is currently detained at the Carmona City Police Station pending legal proceedings.
Authorities did not provide further details about the suspect’s identity or the circumstances surrounding the theft cases against him.
