SILANG, Cavite – A female motorcycle rider was killed after being hit by a truck on Aguinaldo Highway in Barangay Tubuan 1, Silang, Cavite, local police reported Saturday.
The victim, identified as Olivia May Natanaun, a nurse from Las Piñas, died when her motorcycle was sideswiped by a truck changing lanes.
The impact threw Natanaun onto the road, where she was run over by the truck’s front left wheel.
Police have taken the truck driver, Arjhun Baroy, into custody. He faces criminal charges in connection with the incident.
Authorities are urging drivers to exercise caution on highways, particularly when changing lanes.
