The Kawit Municipal Police Station, under the leadership of Police Lieutenant Colonel Richard D. Corpuz, apprehended a known drug figure for contravening Sections 5 and 11 of Article II of Republic Act 9165.

The arrest occurred last week during a coordinated anti-drug operation with the PDEA-4A in Barangay Sta Isabel, Kawit, Cavite.

The suspect, known as “Ek-Ek,” was caught selling a sachet of the illegal substance “Shabu.”

Following the arrest, “Ek-Ek” was informed of his rights under the Miranda Doctrine and taken into custody for further processing.

The Kawit police emphasize their relentless pursuit of criminal elements and warn against involvement in illicit drug activities.
