In a concerted effort to combat drug crime, officers from the Kawit Municipal Police Station have arrested an individual, known by the alias “Waray,” for allegedly violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The arrest occurred during a targeted buy-bust operation in Barangay Balsahan-Bisita, Kawit, Cavite on June 7.
Under the supervision of Police Lieutenant Colonel Richard D. Corpuz, the Drugs Enforcement Unit carried out the operation in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Region 4A (PDEA-4A).
The suspect, a resident of Barangay Aplaya, was caught selling a small sachet of what is believed to be “Shabu,” a local term for methamphetamine.
Following the arrest, the suspect was informed of his rights under the Miranda Doctrine in a language he understood. He was then taken to the Kawit Municipal Police Station for further documentation and legal proceedings.
The Kawit police force reaffirms its commitment to relentless efforts against all forms of criminality, emphasizing this operation as a stern warning against the dangers of illegal drug involvement.
