An additional 65 corruption complaints against suspended Mayor Alston Kevin Anarna have been filed with the Ombudsman by the Acting Mayor of Silang Cavite, Vice Mayor Ted Carranza.

According to the submission, clear evidence has been gathered proving that suspended Mayor Anarna, in collusion with members of the Bids and Awards Committee led by his brother as its chairman, embezzled over P11 Million allegedly spent on food for fake events held in 2023.

The records reportedly clearly show that the bidding for the food for these events was conducted after the events had already taken place.

In a press conference held by Mayor Anarna, he called these allegations political harassment, baseless, and stated that he will face all the charges filed against him.

The mayor also mentioned that Vice Mayor Carranza is reportedly aspiring to run for the position of Mayor of Silang next year.
