A video of a basketball court situated on a road in Barangay Gahak, Kawit, Cavite, has been making rounds online. The video, shared by the Facebook page VISOR, has sparked a debate among motorists and local residents.

Motorists have expressed their frustration over the court, claiming it causes inconvenience as they are forced to stop and wait whenever a game is in progress.

However, Barangay Captain Rosell Arellano defended the court’s location, stating that they are aware of the ongoing league on the contested road. He added that the annual league brings joy to the youth in their community.

“We really don’t have any available land, so it’s placed there. We’re just asking for understanding and patience,” Arellano said.

According to a report by GMA News, the local government of Kawit has promised to relocate the basketball court as soon as possible.
