A significant drug bust operation was conducted by the Kawit Municipal Police Station on Friday, leading to the arrest of a known drug personality, known locally as “Joey”.
The operation was part of an intensified campaign against all forms of criminality, with a focus on drug-related offenses.
The operation, which took place at approximately 5:35 PM in Brgy. Tabon 3, Kawit, Cavite, was led by the Drugs Enforcement Unit and Intel Operatives of the station under the direct supervision of PLTCOL Richard D Corpuz, COP, and in coordination with the PDEA-4A.
Joey, a resident of Brgy Tabon 3, was apprehended after selling a small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing a substance suspected to be “Shabu”. He was subsequently informed of his constitutional rights under the Miranda Doctrine in a language he best understood.
Following his arrest, Joey was brought to the Kawit Municipal Police Station for documentation and further proceedings. The police station continues its relentless efforts against all forms of criminality, sending a stern warning to the public to refrain from engaging in illegal drug activities.
