In a significant development in the fight against narcotics, the Carmona Municipal Police Station, under the leadership of Police Lieutenant Colonel Jefferson P Ison, has reported the successful apprehension of a suspected drug dealer. The arrest took place in Barangay Bancal, Carmona City, Cavite on the afternoon of April 6, 2024.

The operation was part of an ongoing, intensified campaign against illegal drugs. The police personnel executed a strategic buy-bust operation, which led to the arrest of the suspect who was caught red-handed selling illegal substances to an undercover officer.

The suspect was found in possession of two heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing a substance suspected to be “Shabu”, along with two one-hundred-peso bills that were used as bait in the operation. Following the arrest, the suspect was informed of his constitutional rights and was subsequently taken to the Carmona Municipal Police Station for further processing. The confiscated substances will be sent to the Provincial Forensic Unit for examination.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Ison lauded the efforts of the operation team, highlighting their unwavering commitment to intensifying anti-criminality operations and maintaining law and order within their jurisdiction. The identity of the suspect has been withheld for legal reasons and to protect his rights.
