NBI, BIR Seize P184-M Worth of Fake Cigarettes in Separate Raids in Dasmariñas City and Indang

In a coordinated operation, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) conducted raids on facilities producing counterfeit cigarettes in Dasmariñas City and Indang last week.

The initial target was a warehouse in Dasmariñas City, where 1.6 million packs of illegal cigarettes were confiscated, estimated to be worth P184.7 million.

Another facility in Dasmariñas yielded 408,000 packs of fake cigarettes, valued at P46.76 million.

In Indang, authorities seized 1.1 million packs of counterfeit cigarettes, with a total value of P126.6 million.
