Silang, Cavite – The local government unit (LGU) of Silang has issued a cease and desist order to Villa Marca Resort Hotel and Events Place following a series of regulatory violations.

The order came after a joint inspection conducted on February 29, 2024, by various municipal departments, including the Municipal Planning and Development Council (MPDC), Office of the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Officer (OMENRO), Office of the Local Building Official (OBO), Municipal Health Office (MHO), and Office of the Business Permit and Licensing Officer (OMBPLO).

The inspection revealed multiple operational violations at the resort located in Sabutan, Silang, Cavite. Notable infractions included misrepresentation in locational clearance, lack of environmental compliance, and misdeclaration of the constructed building among others.

Following the recommendation from the regulatory offices, the clearances for the establishment were proposed for revocation, leading to the issuance of the cease and desist order in line with Sec 13, (b) 2, of Ordinance No. PB-018, series of 2017, which pertains to tax revenue regulations in the municipality.

LGU Silang has issued a stern reminder to all establishments within its jurisdiction about the importance of adhering to legal processes and complying with all necessary requirements to ensure lawful operations.

This development serves as a cautionary tale for businesses in the area, emphasizing the LGU’s commitment to upholding regulatory standards and the consequences of non-compliance.
