Police Arrest Wanted Man in Silang, Cavite

A man wanted for acts of lasciviousness was arrested by police in Silang, Cavite on Wednesday, February 21, 2024.

The suspect, known only as alias “Ron”, was the rank no. 3 most wanted person at the municipal level. He was a resident of Maligaya Street, Purok 4, Barangay Lalaan, Silang, Cavite.

According to PLTCOL LOUIE DC GONZAGA, the acting chief of police of Silang Municipal Police Station, the suspect was wanted for the crime of acts of lasciviousness under Article 335 of the Revised Penal Code in relation to section 5(B) of Republic Act 7610, or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.

The suspect was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 3 Family Court in Tagaytay City, with a bail of Php180,000.00 recommended. He is now under the custody of Silang Municipal Police Station for documentation and proper disposition.

The arrest was the result of a joint intelligence-driven operation of personnel of Silang Municipal Police Station Warrant Section and 401st A MC RMFB-4A.

The Cavite Police Provincial Office said it remains committed to hunting down people with an existing warrant of arrest to make sure that they will face the charges filed against them in court.
