Drug Dealer Arrested in Cavite, P391K Worth of Shabu Seized

CAVITE, Philippines – A drug dealer was arrested and P391,000 worth of shabu was seized in a buy-bust operation in General Mariano Alvarez (GMA), Cavite, on Monday, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said.

The suspect, identified only as alias “Obet”, was nabbed by the Station Drug Enforcement Team of GMA Municipal Police Station in Barangay Maderan, GMA, Cavite, around 10:30 a.m., according to a press release from the PNP Regional Office 4A (CALABARZON).

The police recovered eight sachets of shabu weighing about 57.5 grams, a black pouch, and a P1,000 bill used as buy-bust money from the suspect, who is a resident of Barangay San Gabriel, GMA, Cavite.

The suspect is now detained at the GMA Municipal Police Station, where he will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The seized illegal drugs will be examined by the Cavite Provincial Forensic Unit in Imus City, Cavite.

PNP Regional Director PBGEN PAUL KENNETH T LUCAS lauded the GMA police and the Cavite Provincial Police Office, led by PCOL ELEUTERIO M RICARDO JR, for their successful anti-drug operation.

He also urged the public to support the PNP’s campaign against criminality in the province.

“Let us work together and continue our intensified campaign against criminality in our province,” PCOL RICARDO said in a statement.
