ALFONSO, Cavite — A security guard was arrested after allegedly breaking into a warehouse and attempting to steal several rolls of cable in Barangay Amuyong here.
The suspect was identified only by the alias “Christopher,” a native of Bicol residing in Barangay San Miguel 2, Silang, Cavite.
According to police, two security guards conducting a roving inspection at Citi Global Tagaytay Clifton Resort Suites noticed the suspect inside the compound. They chased him down before he could climb over the establishment’s fence.
An inspection found that the suspect had allegedly broken into a warehouse after destroying the door’s padlock. Inside, guards found several boxes of THHN wires, two rolls of 14mm THHN wire and five rolls of 8.0mm wire.
Authorities also recovered a Barako 175 tricycle with sidecar, bearing plate number DPQ467, believed to have been intended as a getaway vehicle.
The investigation further revealed that the victim had previously filed a complaint against the suspect on July 27, 2026, for a similar incident. The suspect had posted bail at the time after reaching a settlement with the victim.
He now faces a new complaint in connection with the latest incident, as authorities continue their investigation.
