KAWIT, Cavite — Kawit Kalayaan Hospital, a public health facility on Toclong–San Sebastian Road, has expanded its facilities to provide medical, diagnostic and emergency services to residents of Kawit and nearby communities.
The hospital, an accredited hospital and infirmary, aims to make essential health services more accessible and affordable, particularly for members of the Philippine Health Insurance Corp., or PhilHealth.
It began as a small primary care facility with 10 to 25 beds. Over the years, it underwent rehabilitation and expansion to meet growing health care demand in Kawit and neighboring areas.
The facility previously had limited space, aging infrastructure and inadequate equipment, and patients who needed specialized care were referred to larger hospitals.
In March 2026, the hospital launched its expanded facility, which includes a new hospital building, an upgraded Primary Care Facility and a Bagong Urgent Care and Ambulatory Service, or BUCAS, Center. The center was established in partnership with Southern Tagalog Regional Hospital.
Legislative efforts are also underway to upgrade the facility into a 100-bed Level II/III district hospital.
