TANZA, Cavite — A 50-year-old woman was raided by a joint police team after authorities served a Warrant to Search, Seize, and Examine Computer Data (WSSECD) in connection with a grave threats case allegedly committed online.

Police identified the respondent by the alias “Anit,” a resident of Barangay Paradahan I in Tanza.

She is accused of sending the threat through Facebook Messenger against Paradahan I Elementary School.

According to investigators, the official Facebook Messenger account of the Tanza Municipal Police Station received a bomb threat at around 7:35 p.m. on June 14 from an account using the name “Dennis Scotland.”

The message specifically named Paradahan I Elementary School as the target of an alleged bombing planned for June 15 at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., prompting authorities to carry out immediate security measures.

At around 6 a.m. on July 25, the Tanza Municipal Police Station, led by Police Lt. Col. Chester Noel R. Borlongan, together with the Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit 4A (RACU 4A) and the Cavite Provincial Cyber Response Team (PCRT), served a search warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 130 in Trece Martires City on July 24, for alleged violation of Article 282 (Grave Threats) of the Revised Penal Code in relation to Republic Act No. 10175, or the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.

Authorities seized 16 digital devices during the operation, including several cellphones, an iPod with a keyboard, a WiFi modem and SD cards, which are believed to contain digital evidence linked to the case.

Digital forensic examiners from the Cavite PCRT and RACU 4A conducted an on-site examination of the seized items until 11 a.m., in the presence of the residents and officials of Barangay Paradahan I.

Police said all seized digital devices will be brought to the RACU 4A Digital Forensic Laboratory at Camp BGen. Vicente P. Lim in Calamba City, Laguna, for further forensic examination.

Any digital data recovered will be used as evidence in the ongoing investigation and in the possible filing of charges.

Authorities said the investigation is continuing.
