Man killed in shooting in General Mariano Alvarez, Cavite
GENERAL MARIANO ALVAREZ, Cavite — A 34-year-old man died after an unidentified gunman shot him in Block 16, Barangay Francisco Reyes here at around 9 p.m. Thursday, July 23, 2026.
Police said the victim sustained a gunshot wound in the shooting, the motive for which remains unclear.
Officers and other authorities responded to the scene to investigate and gather evidence, according to initial reports.
Investigators are working to identify the gunman and determine the exact motive behind the attack.
Authorities are also conducting backtracking operations and gathering possible witnesses and CCTV footage that could help lead to a swift resolution of the case.
The investigation is ongoing.
