DMW HOLDS FIRST HOUSING FAIR FOR OFWs IN CAVITE

NAIC, Cavite — The Department of Migrant Workers Regional Office 4A held its first Housing Fair 2026 in Naic, Cavite on Wednesday, offering overseas Filipino workers and their families access to affordable housing options and livelihood support services as part of the government’s reintegration program.

The event brought together multiple government agencies — including the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development, Pag-IBIG Fund, National Housing Authority, Social Housing Finance Corporation, National Home Mortgage Finance Corporation, TESDA, and DOLE — alongside private developers to connect OFWs with housing and financial assistance programs.

A memorandum of agreement was signed among DMW RO 4A, the local government of Naic, and partner agencies to strengthen coordinated support for returning OFWs.

The fair also featured OFW-led businesses showcasing their products under the “Buy Lokal, By OFWs” program.

Hundreds of OFWs and their families attended the event, which the DMW said aims to help returning workers secure stable housing and achieve long-term reintegration into Philippine society.
