CALABARZON — Four high-value drug suspects were arrested and nearly P1.95 million worth of shabu seized in back-to-back buy-bust operations in Cavite and Quezon provinces, police reported Tuesday.
In Dasmariñas City, Cavite, operatives of the Dasmariñas Component City Police conducted a buy-bust operation the afternoon of June 9 against three suspects identified only by their aliases — Monyo, 31; Ryan, 24; and Angel, 20 — all residents of Barangay Paliparan 3. Authorities seized approximately 200 grams of shabu valued at P1.36 million from the trio.
Hours earlier, at around 12:30 a.m. of the same date, the Quezon Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit intercepted a female suspect identified as alias Mich, 51, a resident of Sitio Puting Buhangin, Barangay Cotta, Lucena City. Some 87 grams of shabu worth an estimated P591,600, along with drug paraphernalia, were confiscated from the suspect.
All four suspects were on the police’s High-Value Individual list.
Police Regional Office 4A Regional Director PBGen. Hansel M. Marantan said the operations reflected the PNP’s continued commitment to maintaining safe and orderly communities.
All four suspects are in police custody and face charges under Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
