CAVITE — The Imus-General Trias Friendship Bridge 1 was formally opened to the public Thursday, linking two of Cavite’s fastest-growing cities.
Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary Jonvic Remulla led the inauguration alongside General Trias Mayor Luis “Jon Jon” Ferrer IV, Imus City Mayor Alex “AA” Advincula, General Trias Vice Mayor Jonas Labuguen, Cavite 3rd District Rep. Adrian Jay Advincula, and Cavite 6th District Rep. Antonio Ferrer.
The two-lane bridge spans approximately 40 meters in length and 10 meters in width, connecting Barangay Alapan 2-B in Imus and Barangay Navarro in General Trias. Officials said the structure is expected to ease traffic congestion between the two cities.
