CALAX Subsection 3 opens, cutting travel time between Biñan and Gen. Trias
GENERAL TRIAS, Cavite — The 7.88-kilometer Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX) Subsection 3 opened Tuesday, extending the Governor’s Drive Interchange in General Trias, Cavite.
The new segment is expected to reduce travel time between Biñan, Laguna, and General Trias to 26 minutes from one hour, according to the concessionaire.
With the opening, CALAX’s operational length now stands at 26 kilometers from the Mamplasan Entry in Biñan, Laguna.
The Subsection 3 opening is part of the larger 44.6-kilometer CALAX project, which will eventually connect the Manila-Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX) in Kawit, Cavite, to the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) in Mamplasan, Biñan.
