Suspect flees buy-bust at Robinson’s mall, crashes SUV in Tubod, Iligan

ILIGAN CITY, Philippines — A suspected drug dealer escaped a buy-bust operation at Robinson’s Mall on Tuesday afternoon, abandoning a brown Suzuki Ertiga after crashing into several vehicles while fleeing, authorities said.

The suspect was being chased by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and police when the SUV crashed along a street in 1st East Rosario Heights in Barangay Tubod around noon March 17, 2026.

The driver fled the scene, leaving the vehicle behind.

Investigators are reviewing closed-circuit television footage from the area as efforts to locate the suspect continue.
