CAMP GEN. PANTALEON GARCIA, Cavite — Twenty-one individuals are believed to have been involved in the death of a first-year college student in General Trias City, police said.
Nine of them directly participated in the beating of the victim, according to investigators.
Three people who brought the student to a hospital — including a driver who later surrendered — initially told police the victim had been hit by a vehicle.
However, an examination revealed bruises, a fractured jaw and chili peppers inserted in the victim’s genitals.
Authorities continue operations to arrest the remaining suspects.
