GENERAL TRIAS, Cavite – Construction is underway to connect a vital segment of the Dasmariñas–General Trias–Tanza Diversion Road, a project that will soon allow motorists to travel directly from Governor Ferrer Drive to the Tanza–Trece Martires Road.
The ongoing work extends the road from Mayor’s Drive, with the new section also planned to intersect with the proposed Anyana Spine Road and Daang Hari Extension.
This phase is part of a broader effort to create a seamless east-west route across Cavite, bypassing heavily congested national roads.
The first phase, connecting Don Placido Campos Avenue in Dasmariñas to Sitio Kiko Rosa in General Trias, is already open to traffic. The currently active section from Mayor’s Drive to Governor Ferrer Drive is also passable.
Once fully completed, the diversion road will form a continuous corridor from Governor’s Drive in Carmona to Remulla Drive in Tanza, linking the cities and municipalities of Carmona, General Mariano Alvarez (GMA), Dasmariñas, General Trias, and Tanza. It is designed to complement major expressways like the Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX) and the Cavite-Batangas Expressway (CBEX).
