CARMONA, Cavite — The City of Carmona launched its first-ever “Biyaheng Masaya Lang” familiarization tour on Friday as part of the 5th Carmona Tourism Summit, coinciding with the celebration of National Tourism Month.
The event, organized by the Office of the City Information, Tourism, Culture and Arts Officer, gathered tourism professionals, educators, social media influencers and representatives from local establishments to showcase Carmona’s growing tourism sector.
The tour highlighted several destinations, including Higala Café, Southwoods Sports and Country Club, Cleo by The Blue Leaf, Manila Southwoods Golf and Country Club, The Viewfort Venue, Carmona Race Track, Chantilly by Q Events, XPO Carmona and the Deafinitely Happy Store.
SelfDrive Philippines served as the official transport partner for the activity.
City officials said the initiative reflects Carmona’s effort to promote itself as the Philippines’ youngest city, following its conversion from a municipality in July 2023.
They added that tourism development is part of the local government’s broader plan to diversify the economy, which is historically driven by manufacturing and industrial estates.
“This familiarization tour is not only about promoting our destinations but also about building partnerships and encouraging more people to experience what Carmona has to offer,” the city government said in a statement.
Carmona, which became the 148th city in the country, has been positioning itself as both an industrial hub and an emerging destination for leisure and events in Cavite.
