IMUS, Cavite — Residents of Malagasang in Imus City, Cavite are raising complaints over an unfinished flood control project of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), which they say has already caused damage to their community.
The project, located behind Istana Subdivision, has been left incomplete for several years, residents said.
The delay has led to a landslide that damaged a covered court and a chapel in the area.
According to the residents, portions of the structure were also destroyed by a typhoon while construction was ongoing.
Despite this, government records under the “Sumbong sa Pangulo” platform list the revetment works in Malagasang as completed — a claim that residents insist is inaccurate.
Residents are urging DPWH and local officials to act immediately and finish the project to prevent further damage.
