SILANG, Cavite — Vice Mayor Cris “Kidlat” Reyes on Monday denied circulating claims that he filed a resolution seeking to unseat Mayor Ted Carranza, calling the online post containing an alleged copy of the resolution “fake news.”
“There is no truth to the rumors that I filed or endorsed any resolution to remove our beloved mayor from office,” Reyes said in an official statement.
The vice mayor clarified that he has neither authored, signed, nor supported any such document and warned the public against falling for unverified information.
Reyes described the speculation as baseless and harmful to the municipal government’s efforts to serve the people of Silang with unity and integrity.
He reaffirmed his commitment to public service, emphasizing respect, cooperation, and programs that benefit the town.
“I call on everyone to work together for peace, order, and continued progress in Silang,” he said.
