KAWIT, Cavite — Police arrested a drug suspect during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Marulas, Kawit, Cavite on Monday afternoon, July 14, 2025, as part of the intensified anti-criminality drive of the Kawit Municipal Police Station.
The operation, conducted at around 5:00 p.m. by the station’s Drug Enforcement Unit and intelligence operatives, led to the arrest of a man known only by the alias “JR,” a resident of Barangay Bacao 2, General Trias City.
According to police, the suspect was caught selling a small heat-sealed sachet containing suspected marijuana in a transaction monitored and coordinated with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region IV-A.
The suspect was read his rights under the Miranda Doctrine in a language he understood and was taken to the Kawit Municipal Police Station for documentation and appropriate legal proceedings.
The operation was led by PCpt. Ernesto G. Monasterial II under the supervision of PLtCol. Resty E. Soriano, the station’s officer-in-charge.
In a statement, Kawit police reaffirmed their commitment to eradicating illegal drugs and warned the public against involvement in such activities.
