P75M na Budget Shortfall sa Kawit Naitala ng COA sa 2021

Ang Commission on Audit (COA) ay naglabas ng ulat na nagpapakita ng malaking kakulangan sa budget ng bayan ng Kawit, Cavite sa ilalim ng pamahala ni Mayor Angelo Aguinaldo para sa taong 2021, na umabot sa mahigit P75.7 milyong piso.

Mga Pangunahing Natuklasan

Ayon sa COA audit report, ang munisipyo ay nakakuha lamang ng P414,151,370.87 mula sa inaasahang P489,941,057.26 na kita, na nagresulta sa kakulangan na P75,789,686.39 o 15.47% ng target.

Ang kabuuang kita na P414,151,370.87 ay kulang pa rin sa kabuuang gastos na P489,543,586.73, na nagresulta sa budget deficit na P75 Million.

Mga Dahilan ng Kakulangan

Ang COA ay tumukoy sa mga sumusunod na dahilan ng revenue shortfall:

  1. Kakulangan ng Local Finance Committee (LFC) sa pagtukoy ng tamang projected income
  2. Hindi nasunod ang Section 316 ng Republic Act No. 7160 (Local Government Code)
  3. Hindi naging epektibo ang budget planning at implementation ng mga Planned Projects/Activities (PPAs)
