KAWIT, Cavite – A suspected drug personality was arrested for violating Sections 5 and 11 of Article II of Republic Act 9165 during an anti-illegal drug operation conducted by the Kawit Municipal Police Station on May 15, 2025.
The suspect, identified only by the alias “Jepot,” a resident of Barangay Kaingen, was apprehended at around 7:35 p.m. in a buy-bust operation in the same barangay. Police said he was caught selling a small heat-sealed plastic sachet containing suspected shabu.
The operation was carried out by the station’s Drug Enforcement Unit and intelligence operatives, led by Capt. Ernesto G. Monasterial II and supervised by Lt. Col. Socrates S. Jaca, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 4A.
Authorities vowed to continue their aggressive campaign against all forms of criminality. They also issued a stern warning to the public against engaging in illegal drug activities.
Police said the suspect was informed of his constitutional rights under the Miranda Doctrine in a language he understood. He is currently in the custody of Kawit police for documentation and proper disposition.
