KAWIT, Cavite — A suspected drug personality was arrested Monday (Jan. 10, 2025) in a buy-bust operation, authorities said.

The suspect, known only by his alias “John Patrick,” was taken into custody at 7:55 p.m. in Barangay Manggahan-Lawin after selling a small plastic sachet of suspected methamphetamine, or “shabu,” to an undercover officer.

The operation was conducted by the Kawit Municipal Police Station’s Drugs Enforcement Unit and Intel Operatives, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency’s regional office.

The suspect was informed of his rights and was brought to the police station for processing.

Police said the arrest was part of their intensified campaign against crime and illegal drugs in the community.

The Kawit Municipal Police Station warned the public against engaging in illegal activities, saying they will continue to crack down on criminality.

The operation was supervised by PLTCOL Socrates S. Jaca, the station’s officer-in-charge.
