The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has seized counterfeit Louis Vuitton products worth more than P121 million from several establishments in General Trias and Imus, Cavite.
The NBI’s Intellectual Property Rights Division (NBI-IPRD) carried out the operation under search warrants following a complaint from a Louis Vuitton representative regarding the illegal sale of fake products.
Authorities confiscated counterfeit goods valued at approximately P121,622,838. Establishment owners were found in violation of the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines for trademark infringement.
NBI Director Jaime Santiago urged the public to refrain from buying and supporting counterfeit products.
