Dasmariñas City, Cavite – In a series of coordinated operations, Cavite police forces arrested multiple individuals suspected of involvement in the illegal drug trade in Dasmariñas City on Friday evening.

The first operation, conducted by the Cavite Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) and the Dasmariñas City Police Station (DASMA CCPS) in collaboration with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), resulted in the arrest of a 49-year-old woman identified as Jessica. Police seized 100 grams of suspected shabu (methamphetamine) with an estimated street value of PHP680,000, along with buy-bust money, a mobile phone, and a small brown envelope.

Earlier that evening, a second operation in Barangay Sampaloc 1 led to the arrest of three suspects: 18-year-old “Nilo,” listed as a high-value target; 38-year-old “Alex”; and 45-year-old “Gil,” a hairdresser. Authorities confiscated 27 grams of suspected shabu worth PHP183,600, along with buy-bust money and a mobile phone.

All five suspects are currently in custody at the Dasmariñas Component City Police Station. They face charges under Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The seized evidence will be sent to the Cavite Provincial Forensic Unit for chemical analysis.

Regional Director PBGEN PAUL KENNETH T LUCAS commended the police units involved, praising their dedication to combating illegal drugs in Cavite. Acting Provincial Director PCOL DWIGHT E ALEGRE urged the community to continue supporting the police in their efforts to eradicate the drug trade.
