Police Seize P217,000 Worth of Suspected Shabu, Arrest 3 in Cavite

Dasmariñas, Cavite – Philippine police arrested three suspects and seized P217,000 pesos worth of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, commonly known as “shabu”, in a buy-bust operation in Dasmariñas City, Cavite last week.

According to a police statement, the operation was conducted by the Provincial Intelligence Unit, Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Barangay H-2, Dasmariñas City, around 6:30 pm.

The suspects, identified as Rom, Zi, and Alias Adi, all residents of Dasmariñas City, were arrested and found in possession of five heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing the suspected shabu, weighing around 32 grams.

Police also confiscated a genuine 500-peso bill marked as buy-bust money and an Android cellphone.

The suspects were informed of the charges against them under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and were apprised of their constitutional rights.

They are currently in the custody of the Dasmariñas Component City Police Station for processing and documentation prior to the filing of charges.

The Cavite police chief, PCOL Dwight E Alegre, commended the operating units for their diligence and dedication, and urged the public to continue cooperating with law enforcement to combat illegal drug activities.
