A major infrastructure project is set to ease traffic congestion in one of the busiest areas of Cavite province, with the construction of a 200-meter underpass in the Pala-Pala district of Dasmariñas City.

The underpass, which will be built along Governor’s Drive between SM Dasmariñas and Robinsons Dasmariñas, aims to significantly improve traffic flow in the area, which has long been plagued by congestion despite previous efforts to alleviate the problem.

The project also includes the widening and rehabilitation of bridges along the corridor.

Pala-Pala is strategically located at the intersection of Aguinaldo Highway and Governor’s Drive, making it a major transportation hub with terminals connecting to all parts of Cavite.

The underpass project is expected to pave the way for future developments in the area, including the redevelopment of Terraza Dasma, the expansion of SM Dasmariñas, and the construction of the Radisson Hotel.

The project also comes ahead of the planned extension of the Light Rail Transit (LRT) and Subway lines to the area, which is expected to further boost foot traffic and economic activity in Calabarzon.
