Cavite Police Seize 50 Grams of Shabu, Arrest 2 in Buy-Bust Operation

DASMARIÑAS, Cavite — Cavite police arrested a high-value individual and a street-level individual in a buy-bust operation Thursday, seizing approximately 50 grams of suspected shabu worth about P340,000 pesos.

The operation, conducted around 7 p.m. in Barangay Sta. Cruz 2, Dasmariñas City, was part of an intensified campaign against illegal drugs, police said.

The suspects, identified as “Carla” and “Kim,” were taken into custody by joint operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Unit, the Cavite Provincial Police Office, and the Dasmariñas Component City Police Station.

Three heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu were confiscated from the suspects, along with marked buy-bust money. The seized evidence was submitted to the Cavite Provincial Forensic Unit for chemical examination.

Criminal charges are being prepared against the suspects, police said.

The Cavite police provincial director, PCOL Eleuterio M Ricardo Jr., said the accomplishment was the result of collective efforts between the police and the community.

“We have intensified our campaign against illegal drugs to maintain a peaceful and orderly Cavite province and eradicate the menace of drugs,” Ricardo said.
