Cavite Tourism Officers Undergo Statistics Training Program

IMUS, Cavite — The Cavite provincial government, in partnership with the Department of Tourism’s CALABARZON office, held a Basic Tourism Statistics Training for city and municipal tourism officers and coordinators on Aug. 15-16, 2024.

Led by DOT-accredited speaker Brena Mae Membrere, the training covered fundamental concepts and the role of statistics in advancing tourism development.

Participants also took part in workshops using the Standard Local Tourism Statistics System’s prescribed recording and reporting forms.

The training is part of the province’s efforts to improve its data collection.

A follow-up Advanced Tourism Statistics training is scheduled for October.
