MANILA – The 1st district of Cavite expressed its strong support for President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s call for timely transformations in the economy, society, governance, and the general outlook of Filipinos during the “Bagong Pilipinas Kick-off Rally” held at the Quirino Grandstand on Sunday.

In a statement, Cavite 1st District Rep. Jolo Revilla said that he and his constituents joined the rally to show their solidarity with the president’s vision of a “New Philippines” that aims to inspire every Filipino to unite and strive to improve the quality of life in the country.

The “Bagong Pilipinas” campaign is a framework of ideas that also encourages the collective action of members of various groups and organizations to serve as beacons of hope and agents of progress.

Revilla said that these aspirations are not separate and distant from their own goals in their district. He said they recognize the importance of cooperation and excellent service to address the needs and end the problems faced by their fellow citizens.

Revilla added that they accept the challenge to become “New Filipinos” towards a “New Philippines” by continuously improving the quality of public service and changing their minds, words, and deeds.

The 1st district of Cavite comprises the municipalities of Cavite City, Noveleta, Kawit, and Rosario.

President Marcos launched the “Bagong Pilipinas” campaign as the overarching theme of his administration’s brand of governance and leadership, characterized by a principled, accountable, and dependable government reinforced by unified institutions of society.

The kick-off rally was attended by about 400,000 supporters, including Vice President Sara Duterte, other key officials of Malacaรฑang, and Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan. The rally was also streamed online to engage a wider audience beyond Manila.
