The Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT-1) Cavite Extension project, which will extend the existing LRT-1 line from Baclaran in Pasay to Niog in Bacoor, Cavite, is expected to be operational by September 2024, according to the Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC).

The project, which covers 11.8 kilometers of new railway and eight new stations, will reduce the travel time from Pasay to Cavite from an hour and a half to just 25 to 30 minutes. It will also provide convenient access to key areas in the city, such as the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), the Paraรฑaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX), and SM City Sucat.

The LRT-1 Cavite Extension project is seen as a catalyst for the growth of the real estate market in Cavite, as it will increase the demand for residential and commercial properties near the rail stations. Cavite, which is already one of the most populous and fastest-growing provinces in the country, offers a wide range of affordable and quality housing options for homebuyers and investors.

According to a report by Lamudi, Cavite is among the top provinces that attract online property seekers, especially those looking for house and lots. The report also noted that Cavite has a high potential for capital appreciation, as the average price of a house and lot in the province increased by 12.7% from 2019 to 2020.

Some of the best places to invest in Cavite are Bacoor, Imus, Dasmarinas, General Trias, and Tagaytay, which offer various amenities, facilities, and attractions for residents and tourists alike. These areas also have a number of reputable developers that offer premium and affordable projects, such as Camella Homes, Crown Asia, Landnet Dynamic Realty Estate Management, and RM Cabal Realty.

With the completion of the LRT-1 Cavite Extension project, Cavite will become more accessible, livable, and attractive for real estate investors and homebuyers. Cavite is indeed a gold mine of real estate opportunities that should not be missed.
