6-Year-Old Killed in Cavite Shooting
SILANG, Cavite — A 6-year-old boy was killed and his father was wounded in a shooting Friday night in Barangay Ulat.
Police said the victims were on a motorcycle heading home when a suspect, identified as a former village councilor who was reportedly intoxicated, opened fire.
The boy was hit in the head and was pronounced dead on arrival at a hospital. The father was shot in the shoulder and is in stable condition.
Authorities are pursuing the suspect, who faces murder and frustrated murder charges.
