BACOOR CITY, Cavite — Two high-value drug suspects were arrested and some 400 grams of methamphetamine or shabu worth an estimated P3.05 million were seized in a buy-bust operation along Aguinaldo Highway in Barangay Talaba I on Feb. 24, 2026, authorities said.

The suspects, identified only by their aliases “Yolly,” 70, and “Arnie,” 29, are both residents of Tramo, Talaba I, Zone 7, Bacoor City.

Police said both were classified as high-value individuals in the province.

The operation was led by the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit 4A and Regional Intelligence Division 4A of the Philippine National Police, in coordination with the Cavite Police Provincial Intelligence Unit, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 4A, and the Bacoor Component City Police Station.

Authorities said alternative recording devices were used during the operation.

An inventory of the seized evidence was conducted before members of the media and barangay representatives to ensure transparency.

The suspects are detained at the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 4A facility in Calamba, Laguna, and face charges under Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
